A Message from the Principal

Welcome!

There is something you need to know, every day when students come to their school home here at Auburn Adventist Academy they are loved and cared for and treated with respect. That sense of community is inspired by Jesus Christ!

During the sometimes tumultuous high school years, positive relationships are often what can make the difference for success. With out a doubt, we have wonderful classes, great activities, memorable trips and amazing academics, but the first thing we are charged to do is love one another. In John 13:34-35, Christ said, "A new commandment I give you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

What does this mean to you? Your students at AAA, will be challenged academically by some of the best teachers I have ever worked with. On the field, trail, track and court, they will be coached to do their very best! Through time with friends on trips, school events or even just lunch, friendships will be made that will last a lifetime. In every thing we do, the love of Jesus Christ will bind us together.

We look forward to seeing you at AAA! God bless you and your loved ones!

Where is AAA Located?

Nestled on 260 acres in South King County, students have long enjoyed Auburn Academy’s  vibrant heritage of excellence. We are ideally situated near Mt. Rainier on the Muckleshoot plateau, with the Green River to the north and the White River to the south. Auburn Academy is conveniently located 35 minutes from Seatac International airport with quick access to Seattle and Tacoma.   Our quiet and secure campus is surrounded with trees, grasslands and on a sunny day, Mt. Rainier can be clearly seen in all its beauty.

Adventist Education

We believe the Adventist advantage in education is due to a holistic approach taken by the school system. There’s an unusual commitment to educating the mind, body, and spirit.
— Elissa Kido, EdD

We are a Christian academy that is part of a network of over 7,500 Seventh-day Adventist schools across the globe. Adventist Education takes a balanced, holistic approach by focusing on helping students grow spiritually, academically, physically, and socially.

Our staff are dedicated to your success

Auburn Academy staff are truly dedicated to high academic standards but more importantly, the well-being of the whole student. Because of this, we set high standards in selecting our teachers and staff. Day after day, our teachers live out their christianity and show the students through living example what it means to live for Christ. As a standard, they make themselves available for individual assistance if students need additional instruction outside the classroom. Every student that walks our hall is loved and prayed for every day by our amazing faculty & staff.

Boarding School

A diverse group of domestic and international students are proud to call Auburn Adventist Academy “home." And we are proud to see our falcons form lifelong friendships and mature as individuals during their time in Grace Hall (young women) and Witzel Hall (young men). About 51% of our students call our campus home during the school year.

Living on AAA campus is a unique and powerful experience. Our strong, Christian, values-based community helps students develop self-discipline that in turn supports self-esteem and future success. Dorm students tend to be more confident in the classroom, more involved in co-curricular activities, and more mature in their personal relationships.

The boarding experience at Auburn Adventist  Academy is one unlike any other boarding school. Our boarding program is intimate, housing less than 120 students. We have a diverse group of domestic as well and international students. This intimate program allows for the Dean to provide the attention to students as they experience all that Auburn Adventist Academy has to offer. We are located about 40 minutes from Seatac International Airport and take the opportunity to invest in academic, spiritual and recreational activities in the PNW region. We would love to have you become a part of our dorm community.

Village Students

Village students make up a significant part of our student population and while they enjoy a full day on campus participating in all school activities of their choosing, they commute home each evening. We work with our families to ensure that our village students have transportation to and from school. Students from all over the South Sound area can choose either Sounder Train, van pools or independent vehicles for their transportation needs.

Though they do not live on campus, we encourage all of our village students to get involved in weekend and after hour activities here on campus. It brings us much joy to watch each of our students grow deeper in their relationships with God and each other.

Meals

Teaching our students about the joy’s of healthy eating is one of the greatest pleasures of our very own, Chef Zuzana Rachal. Of european descent, Zuzana and her team enjoy preparing meals that not only pay homage to their own heritage but also to those countries represented in our student body. Freshly made in our kitchen, the cooks prepare a variety of plant-based meals from around the world. When you visit, we know that you will never leave hungry!

Over 90 % of our graduates continue their studies either at an university, higher learning institution or trade school. Auburn Adventist Academy is committed to assisting students in preparation for their SAT tests. Throughout the past years, our student’s average scores on the SAT tests have consistently been higher than the state and national averages.
