John and Teresa Soule

Education administrator, John Soule, '79, began serving as as principal for Auburn Adventist Academy in summer 2015.

"It has been 36 years of living outside the Auburn area and feels right to be coming back to where my Christ experience started," Soule says. He, his two brothers, his sister and his father all graduated from AAA! His mother attended Auburn and his grandmother was a teacher at Auburn.

Soule has 25 years of experience in education both in the classroom at Upper Columbia Academy in Spangle, Wash., and more recently in administration at Sacramento Adventist Academy in Carmichael, Calif.

Soule earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health and physical education from Walla Walla University in June 1990. He also earned a Master of Arts in teaching with an emphasis in educational leadership from Walla Walla University in June 2008.

"I believe in empowering faculty and staff so that they are well equipped to mentor students for Christ," Soule says. "My vision is for students who attend AAA to have a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ when they graduate. Students through their educational experience at Auburn need to be equipped to make the right life choices."

Soule and his wife, Teresa, have three adult children: Brad has two sons; Kari has a daughter; and James is studying to become a history teacher. Soule enjoys teaching students, spending time with his grandchildren, reading, sports and camping.
